What Families Have Shared

"We attended the Orientation Session after my father passed unexpectedly and left us with no idea where anything was. I wish we'd known about Estora before that point. The session explained things I'd been confused about for months. The glossary alone saved us so many awkward questions at the solicitor's office."

"My wife and I are both in our late sixties and we'd been putting this off for years. The Family Records Organisation Service was exactly what we needed. Razif was patient with us and everything is now in one folder that our children can actually find and understand. It's a genuine relief."

"I came in thinking this would be a short overview. Four and a half hours later I was still asking questions. Siti was wonderful — she never once made me feel rushed or as though my questions were silly. The resource list she gave me pointed me directly to the people I needed to speak to next. That connection alone was worth it."

"The Complete Legacy Archive Programme took about six weeks and by the end I had a binder that my whole family has read. We know what's in it, where it lives, and what to do with each section. More importantly, I arrived at my first appointment with our solicitor with a list of proper, informed questions. The solicitor commented on it. Worth every ringgit."

"We did the Records Organisation Service for my mother's file. She's still very much with us but her health has been uncertain and we wanted things in order. The session was done over video call, which worked well. We now have a folder that both my sisters and I have copies of. One minor note — some of the checklists had more fields than we needed, but the team adapted them for us on the spot."

"I'm a working professional and I don't have a lot of spare time. The Orientation Session was compact, factual, and left me with everything I needed to know to have the right conversation with our family solicitor. No fluff, no pressure, and Joanna made follow-up scheduling very easy. I've already referred two colleagues."

Longer Journeys

Case Studies

Three families, three different starting points. All identifying details have been changed with client permission.

Case Study 01 — Family Records Organisation Service

"Everything was in plastic bags in three different rooms."

The Situation

An elderly couple in Kota Kinabalu had accumulated decades of documents — policies, property papers, account passbooks — stored across multiple locations with no consistent naming or grouping system. Their adult children lived in different cities and had no clear picture of what existed.

What We Did

Over three working sessions, we sorted all physical documents into logical categories, created clear folder labels, built a summary index, and identified four documents that needed to be located or reissued. We also provided a referral list for the formal steps ahead.

The Outcome

The family now has one accessible folder that all three adult children have reviewed. The couple's solicitor confirmed at their first appointment that the documents were "the most clearly organised set she had seen from a first-time estate consultation." The process was completed in twelve days.

Case Study 02 — Complete Legacy Archive Programme

"We didn't know what we didn't know."

The Situation

A professional couple in their mid-fifties wanted to put their affairs in order following a health scare. They had some understanding of their financial position but no knowledge of how estate administration worked in Malaysia, and no organised record set.

What We Did

We ran the full Legacy Archive Programme over five weeks — education sessions on Malaysian estate administration, hands-on organisation of their records, and a guided process to prepare questions for the solicitor and financial planner they subsequently engaged.

The Outcome

The completed archive binder is now stored securely, with both spouses and their eldest child holding a copy of the summary index. The couple reported that their first meeting with their solicitor was "the most productive professional meeting we've ever had" because they arrived prepared and informed.

Case Study 03 — Keepsake Orientation Session

"I needed to understand the basics before I could even ask the right questions."

The Situation

An adult son whose parent had recently been diagnosed with a serious illness wanted to understand what steps might eventually be needed and how to prepare — without alarming his parent or making any premature decisions.

What We Did

We ran a single Orientation Session focusing on how Malaysian estate administration typically works, which bodies are involved, and what kinds of records tend to matter most. We provided the standard glossary and an annotated resource list.

The Outcome

The client left with a clear sense of the landscape and a short list of questions to raise with a solicitor. He subsequently returned for the Records Organisation Service, and described the Orientation Session as "the map I needed before I could plan any journey."
